Lehigh head coach
Chris Wakely has announced the signing of eleven student-athletes who will join the Mountain Hawks men’s lacrosse program in the Fall of 2004.
The class exhibits excellent leadership, with several members serving as captain of their high school teams, as well as diversity, with the newest student-athletes hailing from five different states.
Wakley, who is set to begin his fourth season at the helm, is excited about the newest additions, and anxious to get the newest members on the field.
The Mountain Hawks finished up their 2004 season on a strong note, winning three of their last four home games to finish up at .500 in home matches. Next season, the Mountain Hawks return all but one starter, including two All-Patriot League performers. Combined with the addition of these newest recruits, Lehigh has much to be excited about for the upcoming year.
Coach Wakely offers his views on the newest additions to the Lehigh lacrosse program: “We feel that we gained some depth in two critical areas with this class, in both goal and in the face-off X. We are excited that many of these student-athletes have been multiple sport athletes and have served on their teams as captains.” Wakley concludes, “We’re looking forward to welcoming these student-athletes into the Lehigh lacrosse family this fall.”
