Bethlehem, PA- Lehigh earned its third straight victory, overpowering Princeton 34-6 Friday night in Grace Hall. The Mountain Hawks are 6-3 while Princeton falls to 2-11 on the season.
      Head coach Greg Strobel was pleased with how his team responded to their busy travel schedule. "I am very pleased with our series of the four matches. The guys were able to keep an emotional even keel and I was impressed how they were able to remain focused," said Strobel.

At 141, Tristan Boyd was on a mission. Boyd recorded ten takedowns before earning a technical fall in 6:54 over Princeton's Brian Kirschbaum. Boyd is now 5-3 on the season.

Thirteenth ranked Mike Pirozzola recorded an 8-0 decision over Princeton's Milo Adams. The freshman continues to improve his record, earning ten wins in fifteen bouts.
      Warren Stout, ranked 20th in the nation, earned his third straight win over the Tigers' Albert Pendleton. At 157, Stout recorded a 14-7 decision over Pendleton to put the Mountain Hawks up 11-0.
      At 165, All-American Chris Vitale earned the first pin of the match. Vitale pinned Princeton's Jon Blunt in 6:15. Vitale, 6th in the nation, is currently undefeated in dual meets at 9-0.

In perhaps the most anticipated bout of the night, Lehigh's Brad Dillon was unable to upset 6th ranked Greg Parker of Princeton. Parker earned a 7-4 decision over Dillon to put the first points on the board for the Tigers. Parker is currently the Tigers' highest ranking wrestler since Jon Orr in 1985.

At 184, Rob Rohn was relentless, allowing his opponent to escape six times in order to record ten takedowns. The All-American, ranked 6th in the nation, earned an impressive 22-8 major decision over the Tigers' Jack Fleming.

At 197, Jon Trenge recorded his third straight pin and the second pin of the evening. Trenge, ranked second in the nation, pinned Princeton's Alan Sista in just 2:20. All of Trenge's pins have come within the three minute mark.
      In the heavyweight bout, Princeton's Joe Looke earned a hard fought win over Lehigh's Shawn Laughlin. Looke recorded a 4-3 decision over Laughlin to give the Tigers six points.

At 125, Mario Stuart recorded a solid 13-5 decision over Princeton's Seth Dunapace. The win gives the All-American three victories in a row.

In the final bout of the evening, Dan Hyman finished strong for Lehigh, tabbing a 6-1 decision over the Tiger's John Knorring.
Lehigh returns to the road January 19th and 20th as they travel to Columbus, Ohio for the National Duals at Ohio State.
