Bethlehem, PA – Lehigh can better its win total from a season ago when nationally ranked Patriot League foe Bucknell comes to the Ulrich Sports Complex on Saturday evening. The Mountain Hawks enter the game with a 5-8 overall record and a 2-4 mark in the Patriot League, while the 20th ranked Bison weigh in at 8-4 overall and 4-1 in league action.

The game will see the nation’s second leading scorer in goals per game, senior Tony Lowe, square off against the country’s seventh ranked scoring defense. Lowe is coming off back-to-back seven goal performances and is averaging 3.0 per contest. The Bison, meanwhile, allow just 7.17 goals per game.

Lowe, who has ten more goals than any other Patriot League player, is joined on the Lehigh attack by sophomores Andrew Lucas and Greg Morin. Lucas is second on the team with 21 goals, while Morin ranks 13 in the country in assists per game and is the team’s second leading scorer behind Lowe.

The Mountain Hawks defense is led by senior Scott Carpenter, who averages 5.38 ground balls per contest, good for 17th in the nation. Six other Lehigh players have recovered at least 25 on the season. Sophomore Tom Ellis has started all but one contest in goal for the Mountain Hawks.

Bucknell is led by goalkeeper Justin Sussman, who is second in the nation in save percentage at .647. Chris Cara, fifth in the nation in assists per game, leads the Bison attack with 45 points, including team highs of 18 goals and 27 assists. Reece Pacheco and Blaise Fletcher lead the team in ground balls.
