Lehigh doubles up Keydets

Lexington, VA – Sophomore Andrew Lucas scored four goals for the second straight game, as Lehigh defeated VMI Saturday evening 16-8 to improve its record to 3-1 on the season. The Mountain Hawks and Keydets were tied 1-1 at the end of the first quarter, however, Lehigh tallied six goals in the second quarter compared to VMI’s four to take a 7-5 lead into the locker room at halftime. The Mountain Hawks managed to outscore the Keydets 9-3 in the second half en route to the 16-8 victory. Lucas and freshman Mike Moran each scored four goals in the Lehigh win. Scoring three goals apiece were freshman Connor McCarthy and sophomore Greg Morin. Senior Tony Lowe and freshman Aedan Neary rounded out the Mountain Hawks’ scoring with one goal each. The Mountain Hawks outshot the Keydets on the evening 49-20. Morin added two assists in the contest to give him five points. Lehigh returns to action on Tuesday in Raleigh, North Carolina as the squad will face off against the Duke Blue Devils. Game time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Scoring
