Mountain Hawks to host Seahawks

Bethlehem, PA – Lehigh (1-1, 0-0 Patriot) will look to return to the win column against Wagner on Tuesday afternoon at the Ulrich Sports Complex. In two games this season, senior Tony Lowe has scored six goals, including five in the season opening victory against Marist. Freshman Mike Osborne has been Lehigh’s high assist man with seven thus far in 2003. Other high scorers for Lehigh include sophomore Andrew Lucas, with three goals and one assist, and freshman Connor McCarthy, who has scored three times. Mike Norelli and senior Scott Carpenter have keyed the Mountain Hawks’ defense. Norelli has a team best 11 ground balls, one more than Carpenter. In net for Lehigh, sophomore Tom Ellis is allowing 9.50 GAA and stopping .537 of opponents’ shots. Freshman Tom Weiss has won 25-38 face offs. Tuesday’s contest will be the season opener for the Seahawks, after finishing last season 3-10 overall and 1-6 in the Metro Atlantic. Wagner’s top two goal scorers from 2002 return. James Servidio led the Seahawks with 20 goals, while Brian Gallagher chipped in with 14. Jason Henry and Eddie Cini should be vital parts of the Wagner defense, after fielding 49 and 55 ground balls last season, respectively.
