The Mountain Hawks will look for a perfect 2-0 start when Villanova pays a visit to the Ulrich Sports Complex on Saturday. The contest was originally scheduled for play in Philadelphia, but weather concerns caused a switch in venues to the turf field at Ulrich. In the season’s first game, Lehigh dropped Marist by a final of 13-8 at home. Senior Tony Lowe scored five goals for the Mountain Hawks, including three in an 8-0 Lehigh run that sealed the game. Adding pairs of goals for the Mountain Hawk effort were sophomore Andrew Lucas, and freshmen Connor McCarthy and Jeff King. The high man for Lehigh in assists was freshman Mike Osborne with five helpers on the day. Sophomore Tom Ellis was strong in goal, making 12 saves while picking up the win. Freshman Tom Weiss won 19-23 faceoffs, while picking up seven ground balls. Senior Scott Carpenter and sophomore Mike Norelli led Lehigh with nine and eight ground balls, respectively. The Wildcats will also be looking for a 2-0 start after opening their season with a 13-4 win over Binghamton. Brian Marks had quite a game against the Bearcats, scoring four goals and assisting on five others. Marc Creegan matched Marks in the goal department, scoring four of his own. Last season, the Wildcats finished 6-8 overall and 3-5 in the Colonial Athletic Association. The rescheduled game is slated for a 4:00 start at the Ulrich Sports Complex. For more information, contact
