Maggie Gallagher enters her second season as an assistant coach for Lehigh in 2025-26.

In her first year back with the Mountain Hawks, Gallagher played a pivotal role in the team's success, contributing to a season that included a Patriot League Championship, a regular-season title, and 27 total wins. Under her guidance, three players earned All-League honors: Maddie Albrecht (First Team, All-Defensive), Ella Stemmer (Second Team), and Belle Bramer (All-Rookie).

Gallagher recently concluded her eighth season as an assistant coach in the 2023-24 campaign at Marist, where she assisted with the development for the team's guards as well as scouting and recruiting.

During that tenure, the Red Foxes have won two MAAC regular season championships (2019-20, 2020-21), won a MAAC Championship (2021) made an appearance in the NCAA Tournament (2021) and WNIT (2018), and reached the MAAC Championship game three times (2018, 2019, 2021).

In March of 2021, Gallagher was recognized on the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) Thirty Under 30 program, becoming the first Marist assistant coach to garner the recognition since the list's inception in 2016. The WBCA Thirty Under 30 program was created to recognize 30 up-and-coming women's basketball coaches age 30 and under at all levels of the game. Each honoree has exemplified their involvement in community service, mentorship and impact on others, professional manner, and attitude and professional association involvement.

She received the honor following a 2020-21 campaign where the Red Foxes won their 11th MAAC Championship in program history, despite losing a graduating class that scored almost 5,500 career points. During that year, Gallagher was instrumental in the development of Trinasia Kennedy, '23, who boosted her scoring average by 7.7 points per game and earned a spot on the All-MAAC Third Team. In addition, Gallagher was the scout for the MAAC Championship final against No. 3 Saint Peter's, where Marist set a conference tournament record for largest margin of victory and fewest points allowed in a championship final in a 69-30 triumph.

Other players: Mentored and developed Rebekah Hand ‘20, three-time All-MAAC First Team selection, and Grace Vander Weide ‘20, All-MAAC Second Team selection and All-MAAC Third Team selection

Gallagher joined the Red Foxes staff for the 2016-17 season, just a year removed from her playing career, after serving for a season as the Director of Basketball Operations for the Lehigh Mountain Hawks. The three-time MAAC All-Academic Team member and team captain during her senior season helped Marist to three-straight NCAA Tournament appearances from 2012-14 and a WNIT appearance in 2015.

Gallagher was a member of the Dean’s List throughout her entire collegiate career and was named a nominee for the WBCA Good Works Team for her commitment to leadership, enriching the lives of others and contributing to the greater good in her community.

In addition to her work on the court and in the classroom, Gallagher coached an AAU team for two years while in college, was a member of Marist’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee and an intern in the Marist Sports Information Department.

A native of Stormville, New York, Gallagher graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications with a sports communications concentration in 2015. She earned a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Lehigh in 2020.
