Damion Jablonski begins his first season on the Lehigh men's basketball coaching staff. Jablonski comes to Lehigh from Oakland University, where he served in a variety of capacities over a three-year span. Last season, Jablonski served as an interim assistant coach while also fulfilling the duties of video coordinator for the Golden Grizzlies. He helped lead Oakland to a 26-9 record, which included a school-record 11-game winning streak. The Golden Grizzlies won the Summit League regular season championship and then won the league tournament to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
 
For the last two seasons, Jablonski served as video coordinator while also serving as an assistant strength and conditioning coach in 2009. He initially came to Oakland as a graduate manager for with the men’s basketball in 2007 after stepping away from a very successful career as a mechanical engineer for Ford Motor Company. Jablonski, who graduated from Gonzaga in 2000 with a degree in mechanical engineering, worked for Ford Motor Company from 2001-2007 and was responsible for executing initiatives that ultimately saved the company millions of dollars per year.
 
Jablonski began his coaching career in 2005 and served two years in the capacities of assistant varsity boys basketball coach and head junior varsity boys basketball coach at Livonia Franklin High School in Livonia, Michigan.
