Lehigh Softball Announces Adjustments to Weekend Schedule

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh softball will kick off spring break with an adjusted schedule this weekend. The Mountain Hawks were originally slated to compete at the four-day Penn State Softball Invitational, but that tournament was canceled last week due to field conditions at Penn State's home park. In its place, Lehigh will head to New York for a pair of weekend doubleheaders. Lehigh will play a doubleheader at Binghamton Saturday at Greenlight Networks Grand Slam Park in Binghamton, and then will travel to Cornell to face the Big Red in a Sunday doubleheader.

Action both days is slated to begin at 11 a.m.

Lehigh improved to 8-6 on the season with a 3-2 showing at the Wolfpack Classic last weekend in Raleigh, N.C. The Mountain Hawks bounced back from two losses Friday to defeat Loyola Chicago and Toledo on Saturday and then beat the Rockets again Sunday.

The rest of Lehigh's spring break schedule includes a doubleheader at UMBC, Wednesday March 11 at 1 p.m., and five games at the UNCG Tournament, including a game at Elon, March 13-15.
