Mountain Hawks Head North For Saturday Game At Holy Cross

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh men's basketball will play its second consecutive road game on Saturday at 2 p.m. from Hart Center Arena in Worcester, Massachusetts against the Holy Cross Crusaders.
Lehigh (10-14, 6-5 PL) has had tremendous success against Holy Cross (8-16, 3-8 PL) as of late, winning eight of the last ten meetings. The Mountain Hawks defeated the Crusaders this season 66-58 on January 7 at Stabler Arena. The Crusaders own a 45-34 advantage in the all-time series.
If Lehigh wins, head coach Brett Reed would win his 298th game, putting him only two away from becoming the second coach in Patriot League history to reach 300 wins. In addition, Reed's record vs. Holy Cross would improve to 25-15.
The Mountain Hawks eliminated a 16-point second half deficit to force overtime against Loyola Maryland at Reitz Arena on Wednesday evening, but the Greyhounds prevailed in double overtime 89-84 to split the season series. Hank Alvey set a new career-high of 27 points on an outstanding 11-12 from the field to go along with eight rebounds, three assists, three blocks, and two steals. Nasir Whitlock provided 18 points with six assists and six rebounds. Edouard Benoit added 12 points, five rebounds and a steal while Joshua Ingram scored 11 points with six rebounds, six assists, and a steal. Peter Kramer chipped in nine points in 22 minutes off the bench.
The Crusaders enter Saturday's contest in tenth place in the Patriot League, having lost each of their last six games. Holy Cross hosted Boston U. on CBS Sports Network on Monday, falling 72-64 to their cross-state foe. Sophomore guard Tyler Boston leads the Crusaders offensively at 13.8 points per game while junior Joe Nugent (11.8 ppg) and junior Gabe Warren (10.4 ppg) also average double-figure points.
Following Saturday's game, the Mountain Hawks are back at Stabler Arena on Wednesday, February 11 to open the season series against American.
Saturday's game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and is available on Fox Sports Radio 94.7 FM and 1230 AM.
