Johnson Wins Second Rookie of the Week Award

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh first-year Eliza Johnson was named the Patriot League Women's Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league on Tuesday afternoon. This is the second time she has won the award this season.
Johnson finished in the top six in all three of her events at the Navy Invitational, and earned Lehigh's sole event win in the process. She swam 23.87 to win the 50-yard freestyle, which was her first time swimming this event collegiately. Johnson was also Lehigh's top finisher in the freestyle at the 200-yard distance. She placed fifth, finishing in 1:52.82. Johnson swam the 200 yard individual medley as well, placing sixth with a time of 2:08.02.
Johnson and the Mountain Hawks next compete at the Patriot League Championship. This four-day meet will see the Mountain Hawks back in Annapolis February 18-21.
