Whitney-Sidney Earns Spot On Academic All-Patriot League Team

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Patriot League announced its academic all-league team and scholar-athlete of the year on Wednesday morning. Senior guard Tyler Whitney-Sidney was selected to the academic all-league team for the first time in his career.
Whitney-Sidney currently has a 3.34 cumulative GPA while majoring in political science at Lehigh. He is a two-time Patriot League honor roll selection, five-time Faculty Athletics Council Award recipient and a one-time Deans List selection.
Starting in all 30 games, Whitney-Sidney was a steady presence for the Mountain Hawks all season long. Whitney-Sidney averaged 14.2 points per game and 15.1 in league play as well as a career-high in field goal percentage (48.0%). He scored in double-figures in 24 of Lehigh's 30 games, including five games of 20+ points and a career-high 32 points against Boston U. (2/26). In addition, Whitney-Sidney has etched his name in Lehigh's record book, becoming 13th on Lehigh's all-time scoring list.
