BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh head men's basketball coach Brett Reed has announced two signings to Lehigh's graduating class of 2030. Carter Cohen and Ralfs Rudusans are set to join the Mountain Hawks next fall.
"I would like to thank all of the people who have been involved in the development of these two young men," said Reed. "From their parents to their coaches and everyone who helped them reach this accomplishment, they laid a foundation for Carter and Ralfs' character and basketball development."
Cohen comes to Lehigh by way of Woodinville, Washington and North Creek High School. The 6'11 big man was a second team All-King County selection as a sophomore and was King County Co-MVP as a junior, averaging 20 points and 10 rebounds per game last season. In addition to starring at North Creek, Cohen has played for the Seattle Select AAU team. Cohen's father, Chris, played collegiate basketball at Seattle Pacific University.
"We're pleased to welcome Carter into the Lehigh basketball family," said Reed. "Carter has an exceptional combination of size, athleticism, and skill. I believe that he has a terrific basketball future. We're pleased that he is going to be a multidimensional talent for our program. I also know that he is a high-character kid who values education, and he will be an exceptional fit for Lehigh University."
Rudusans hails from Riga, Latvia and his played his high school ball at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School in Essex, Maryland. The 6'8 forward won Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) and Baltimore Catholic League championships during his time at Mount Carmel and was named MIAA MVP this past season. He has represented his country internationally, playing for Latvia on the U18 EuroBasket team in 2025 and the U16 European Championship team in 2023.
"We also welcome Ralfs into our basketball program," said Reed. "Ralfs has a unique combination of skill plus a feel for the game. His ability to shoot the basketball as well as being an effective passer at 6'8 are valuable tools for our program. As an international student, he's adapted well to the American game while also representing his country, and all those experiences should give him a great opportunity to contribute to our program. He's also done an excellent job in the classroom and is prepared to contribute on campus as well as on the court."
Lehigh continues the 2025-26 campaign on Friday, November 14 on the road against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
