Mountain Hawks Have Record-Breaking Day At The Patriot League Championships

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Led by three gold medal performances over two days, the Lehigh women's track and field team finished fifth at the 2024 Patriot League Championships.

MID-DISTANCE/DISTANCE
Abby Klebe claimed gold in the 800m, setting a PR, school record and Patriot League record of 2:06.69.Â

In the steeplechase, Lindsay MacLellan set a PR and new school record with her second place finish of 10:15.88. Savanah Beavers followed up in fifth, crossing the finish line in 10:31.58. Christina Yakaboski placed seventh in the 5,000m with 17:04.57.

SPRINTS/HURDLES
Ashley Struck set the meet record and claimed the title in the 400m, clocking in at 54.08. In the 200m, Struck finished second with a school record of 24.04.

In the 400m hurdles, Grace Kennedy took second with a big PR of 1:00.68.

The relay group of Kennedy, Struck, Simone Davey and Svea Wickelgren placed third in the 4x400, setting a new school record of 3:46.78. Lehigh's 4x100 group of Stephanie Webb, Lillian Mauger, Kasey White and Gianna Mangili picked up three points with a sixth place time of 47.52.

Starting off scoring for the day, Kerry Perna took fifth in the high jump, clearing 1.65m. In the triple jump, Casey Talamini-Kelemen placed second with a jump of 11.99m.

Starting off the day, Savanah Beavers took sixth in the 10,000m, clocking in at 36:37.88. The relay group of Abby Klebe, Svea Wickelgren, Riley Morrell and Simone Davey won the 4x800m relay, setting the facility record and earning gold with 8:47.64.

Earning back-to-back titles in the outdoor pole vault, Laura Reigle claimed her second championship in two years at Lehigh with a jump of 3.97m. In the women's long jump, Lillian claimed eighth place with a mark of 5.45m.
