Lehigh Places Fifth At The Patriot League Championships

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Led by Patrez Thomas' third place finish in the 400m hurdles and Liam Lovering's third place finish in the discus, the Lehigh men's track and field team earned fifth place at the Patriot League Championships.

SPRINTS/HURDLES
Thomas logged a third place mark in the 400m hurdles with 52.82. Dan Stipanov competed in the 110m hurdles, contributing three points with a sixth place finish of 14.93.

THROWS
Day two throwing events kicked off with Joe Nowakowski's eighth place finish in the shot put, earning one point with a 16.06m throw. In the final event of the weekend, Liam Lovering took third in the discus throw with a mark of 50.31m.

MID-DISTANCE/DISTANCE
In the 800m, Alex Heidemann earned fifth place, crossing the finish line in 1:49.82.

JUMPS
Ian Scott took eighth place in the triple jump, recording a distance of 13.62m.

MULTIS
First-year Andrew Clark capped off a strong rookie campaign, placing sixth in the decathlon with 6034 points. Clark earned seven PRs in his first Patriot League Championship; 100m (11.68), shot put (10.13m), high jump (1.74m), 400m (51.98), discus (29.37m), pole vault (3.90m) and javelin (41.18m).

Lehigh men's javelin throwers had a successful showing, earning three top-eight finishes. Wil Jaques was the top finisher in second (66.27m), followed by Greg Stagliano in third (62.32m) and Hunter Rodarmel in sixth with a mark of 58.81m.

Achilles Mouzakis took sixth place in the hammer throw with 55.80m.
