BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh head men's basketball coach Dr. Brett Reed has announced two more additions to his 2028 signing class. Alfredo Addesa and Peter Kramer will join Hank Alvey and Edouard Benoit to round out Lehigh's incoming first-year class.

Addesa moved to the United States by way of Monza, Italy to pursue his dream of playing Division-I basketball. He attended Perkiomen School in Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, where he was a back-to-back PAISAA state champion in 2023 and 2024. Prior to his time at Perkiomen, Addesa attended Doane Academy in New Jersey, where he won an NJISAA B Division championship in 2021-22. Addesa was named the second team All-EPL and was an All-PBT tournament team selection during his high school career. In addition, he was also an accomplished track and field athlete, placing first in the PJAA shot put and second place in the PJAA javelin in 2023.

"We are pleased to have Alfredo join our program," said Reed. "He is a skilled big who can play inside as well as on the perimeter. Having a 6'10 player on the court who has the size to score with his back to the basket, get offensive rebound put backs, and shoot well is valuable. His skill level will enhance our offensive spacing and versatility. He is a passionate young man who wants to excel in basketball. He has made significant sacrifices to pursue his love of the game by coming to the United States from Italy. I am pleased he could recognize the incredible opportunity Lehigh provides academically as well as athletically."

"I've always dreamt of Division-I basketball, but after coming from Italy, I wasn't sure which college I would attend," said Addesa. "The moment that I stepped onto Lehigh's campus, Coach Reed and his staff made me feel like a part of the Lehigh family. Furthermore, I wanted to be part of a community that is known for its academic achievements, and I felt like I could improve my status as a student-athlete. Lehigh offers the opportunity for me to excel both on the court and in the classroom, both of which will help me with my future."

Kramer joins the team by way of Hampton High School in Allison Park, Pa. where he excelled on both the court and in the classroom. The 6'5 shooting guard averaged 22 points, six rebounds and three assists per game with 79 made threes during his senior season, which helped him earn 4A First Team All-Section, First Team All-4A and 4A First Team All-State honors. In addition, Kramer posted a weighted 4.3 GPA throughout his time at Hampton. Kramer was also team MVP of the varsity golf team and will be a third-generation Lehigh student, as his father played on the football team for two years.

"Peter is a welcome addition to our program," said Reed. "His family has a legacy at Lehigh with his father and grandfather attending and thus he understands how valuable a degree from this great institution is. Peter is an all-around player. He shoots the ball well, plays solid defense and has good size for a perimeter wing. All of these attributes should translate well to our offensive and defensive philosophies. It's also attractive that he had such an impact on winning and helped to guide his high school team to a deep state playoff run. We feel he will be able to make our practices very competitive and will push his teammates daily.  He should be a valuable contributor to our program in a variety of ways."

"I chose to attend Lehigh because of its great combination of elite academics as well as a championship-level basketball program," said Kramer. "The school also has a rich history in my family and I wanted to keep the legacy going."
