BETHLEHEM, Pa - Lehigh softball travels to Lewisburg, Pa., this weekend to take on Bucknell in the first road series of the Patriot League season. The weekend schedule has been adjusted with the Mountain Hawks and Bison now slated to play a single game Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and a doubleheader Sunday beginning at noon. All three games will be broadcast on ESPN+.

Following Lehigh's weekend sweep over Holy Cross, the Mountain Hawks are 16-14 overall this season and 6-0 in Patriot League play.

The Mountain Hawks carry the reigning Patriot League Pitcher of the Week in senior Katelyn Young who set her career high in strikeouts over the weekend against Holy Cross. Young struck out a career-best 14 in Sunday's series finale and totaled 26 strikeouts and just one run allowed in 14 innings last week.

Lehigh had a balanced offensive attack against Holy Cross. First-year Peyton Sward and junior Julia Mrochko both had three hits to lead Lehigh over the three games. Mrochko scored a team-best three runs while senior Brooke Cannon and junior Rory Dudley led Lehigh with three RBIs.

Overall Sward leads Lehigh with a .392 average. Cannon leads with 22 runs scored. Graduate student Josie Charles and first-year Gracie Smith are tied for the team lead with 30 hits, with Charles leading a balanced run-producing attack with 18 RBIs. Seven Mountain Hawks have at least 13 RBIs this season.

Bucknell is 14-17 this season and is 5-1 in league play. The Bison swept Lafayette to open league play and then won 2-of-3 against Army West Point last weekend, sweeping Saturday's doubleheader before dropping Sunday's series finale.

Senior Zoie Smith leads the Bison in several offensive categories. She is hitting .330 with nine doubles, three home runs, and 19 RBIs. The catcher is second in the Patriot League in doubles and fifth in the league with a .549 slugging percentage.

Madison Roukey is Bucknell's top pitcher with a 1.97 ERA over 89 innings of work. Roukey owns half of Bucknell's 14 victories and tops the team with 72 strikeouts.

Lehigh leads the series with Bucknell 104-48 and has won the last eight meetings. The Mountain Hawks swept last year's series at Leadership Park, outscoring the Bison 16-4 over the three games.

The Mountain Hawks will be off from Patriot League play next weekend and will play a midweek single game at Drexel (April 10) and a doubleheader at Marist (April 13).
