WEST POINT, N.Y. – Graduate student Emily Cimino went 4-for-7 with six runs batted in as the Lehigh softball team split a doubleheader with Army West Point Saturday at the Army Softball Complex. The Black Knights snapped Lehigh's 17-game winning streak with a 3-1 victory in game one, but the Mountain Hawks bounced back, claiming game two 10-2 in five innings.
Â
With Saturday's split, Lehigh is now 28-15 overall and 13-1 in the Patriot League. Army is 12-33 overall and 7-7 in league play.
Â
After staking Lehigh to a 1-0 lead with an RBI single in the first inning of game two, Cimino delivered the biggest blow of the game in the second inning, hitting a grand slam to left center, which put the Mountain Hawks up 7-2 after an inning and a half.
Junior Rory Dudley added an RBI double in the first inning to put Lehigh up 2-0 before the Black Knights came to bat. Caitlyn Newburn tied the game with a two-out, two-run home run in the bottom of the first.

Â
Hess earned her sixth win of the season, allowing two runs on two hits over four innings with two walks and four strikeouts.

Â
Little added another RBI single in the sixth to put the Black Knights up 3-1. Lehigh put the leadoff batter on but was unable to tie the game.
