PHILADELPHIA – The Lehigh offense stayed hot, scoring double-digit runs for the second straight outing as the Mountain Hawks picked up their 10th consecutive victory, 11-3 over Drexel Wednesday at Drexel Softball Field.

The two teams combined to hit five home runs on the day, with Lehigh tying a season-high with three round-trippers.

Junior Rory Dudley gave Lehigh the lead for good with a three-run home run as part of a five-run third inning. Graduate student Emily Cimino went 3-for-4 for the Mountain Hawks, who improved to 20-14 on the season.

Lehigh scored runs in each of its first four times at bat. Cimino doubled home classmate Josie Charles in the first inning and first-year Holly Lovett blasted her third home run of the season to open the second, giving the Mountain Hawks a 2-0 lead.

Drexel (12-18) struck for its three runs in the second inning to take a 3-2 lead. Lily Meuninick led off the home second with a home run to center field and Jackie Masone added a two-run homer to center with two outs to put the Dragons in front.

Senior Brooke Cannon singled to left with one out in the third, scoring junior Lindsey Martin to tie the game at 3-3. Dudley followed with her third home run of the season, a three-run shot to left, giving the Mountain Hawks a 6-3 lead, which they would not relinquish. Senior Amanda Greaney added a bloop RBI single scoring Lovett to cap the five-run frame, giving Lehigh a 7-3 lead.

The Mountain Hawks added two more in the fourth when Cimino led off with a single and then scored all the way from first when Cannon reached on a throwing error. Dudley picked up her fourth RBI of the game with a ground out, bringing home Cannon to put Lehigh up by six.

Junior Julia Mrochko closed out the scoring with Lehigh's third home run of the game and her third of the season, a two-run shot to center in the seventh.

Senior Katelyn Young started in the circle and allowed three runs on three hits over three innings with two walks and two strikeouts. First-year Maddy Clark came on in relief to throw three scoreless innings to earn her first career victory. Clark allowed one hit and struck out two of the 10 batters she faced. Senior Ansley Dambach threw a scoreless seventh inning to close out the victory.

Lehigh finished with 10 hits, with Cimino the only Mountain Hawk to register multiple hits on the day.

The Mountain Hawks are back on the road on Saturday when they visit Marist in a non-league doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. from Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
