
Lehigh Edged by Drexel in 119-68.5 Loss

PHILADELPHIA - Lehigh women's swimming and diving dropped a 119.5-68.5 loss to Drexel Saturday morning at the Daskalakis Athletic Center. The Mountain Hawks dropped to 5-3 on the season.
Lehigh recorded three first-place finishes on Saturday. Senior Willa Werwaiss and junior Mairin Ludwig continued their win streaks and have now racked up a win in every meet they competed in this season.
Werwaiss swam to a first-place finish in the 150-yard freestyle (1:24.70) and Ludwig tallied a first-place mark in the 300-yard IM (3:19.91).
First-year Zoe Davies was Lehigh's other win on Saturday, recording a first-place finish in the 50-yard breaststroke (30.65).
The Mountain Hawks had three-four punch in the 50-yard freestyle as Claire Coughlin came in third (25.40) and Lily Van Der Sman tied for a fourth-place mark (25.73).
Lehigh also had a three-four-five punch in the 50-yard butterfly with Caitlin Deitch coming in third (26.59), Clara Moschella coming in fourth (26.59) and Annie Gao coming in fifth (26.89).
The Mountain Hawks were less than a second away from coming in first in the 200-yard medley relay as Moschella, Davies, Deitch and Anushree Ghate recorded a second-place finish with a time of 1:47.82.
Deitch and Ludwig also had a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle mixed relay (1:30.64) alongside men's teammates Aaron Williams and Timmy Norris.
Lehigh will close out its non-league slate at Marist on Jan. 11.
