Lehigh Kicks Off 2024 with the Wagner Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - On Friday, the multis event group opens 2024 competition with the Wagner Invitational at Ocean Breeze in Staten Island, N.Y.

Junior Gideon Coprivnicar, first-year Andrew Clark, first-year Emma Sanford and junior Shelby Dejana are the four Mountain Hawks competing in the year-opening meet.

Last time out in Fast Times Before Finals, Sanford opened her collegiate career in the pentathlon, landing seventh all-time in Lehigh history with 3,326 points. Sanford finished first in the shot put (10.81m) and long jump (5.23m), second in high jump (1.57m), third in the hurdles (9.25) and fourth in the 800 (2:40.75). Coprivnicar earned first place and garnered seventh all-time in the heptathlon with 4,742 points. Coprivnicar finished first in the pole vault (4.27m), second in the shot put (11.06m), second in the high jump (1.88m), third in the 60m hurdles (8.60m), third in the long jump (6.23m), fourth in the 1000m (3:00.74) and sixth in the 60m (7.45)

Events are slated to begin at noon and wrap up at 5 p.m.
