Lehigh Looks to Continue Momentum Against Navy

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh men's soccer will look to continue its momentum when the Mountain Hawks take on Navy on Saturday at 12 p.m. in Annapolis, Md.
Lehigh is coming off of its first Patriot League win after defeating Colgate 2-1 on Sept. 27. The Mountain Hawks are 2-5-2 (1-2 PL), and the Midshipmen are 4-4-1 (1-0-1 PL).Â
Colgate scored the first goal, but Lehigh scored the final two goals and held the Raiders scoreless for the remainder of the game.Â
Perry Kingson and Jax Adkins both scored in Lehigh's victory over the Raiders. Kingson has a team-high of three goals, scoring all three of his goals on penalty kicks. Adkins scored his first collegiate goal while playing in his first collegiate game.
Navy last played on Sept. 24 against Bucknell. The Midshipmen were originally scheduled to play American on Sept. 27, but the game was postponed due to unplayable field conditions.
The Midshipmen lead the all-time series 33-22-8. The teams tied 2-2 last season. Sophomore goalkeeper Tommy Chyzowych earned the start in net last season. Chyzowych made a career-high of nine saves.
David Jackson leads the way for the Midshipmen, scoring five goals and dishing out four assists.Â
Lehigh's Kingson and Navy's Jackson are both first in the nation in penalty kicks as both players have made all three of their penalty kicks.Â
Lehigh is averaging .89 goals per game, and Navy is averaging 1.56 goals per game.Â
Following Lehigh's game against Navy, the Mountain Hawks will head to Newark, Del., when they face Delaware on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
