Mountain Hawks Impress At Lehigh Hidden Dual

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's tennis team took to the courts one final time before they head to ITA Regionals at their own Lehigh Hidden Dual this past weekend. The Mountain Hawks competed in singles and doubles play on Saturday and Sunday against FDU, Rider, and rival Lafayette.
Singles matches were played best two out of three with a ten-point tiebreaker while doubles matches used standard scoring. The Hidden Dual was originally scheduled to take place at Lehigh's indoor and outdoor courts, but inclement weather forced the entirety of the weekend's tennis to be played inside the Lewis Tennis Center.
Lehigh began the weekend by taking on Lafayette in singles play on Saturday. The Mountain Hawks put on a dominant display over the Leopards, earning wins in seven of the eight matches of the dual. Lehigh then went on to face Rider in doubles play, again coming out on top. The duo of Matt Kleiman and Marc Blekhman got things started with a 6-0 win over their Rider counterparts followed by wins from the teams of Wyeth Anzilotti/Sean Jaeger and Jackson Morash/Benedict Horn-Bourque to seal the doubles dual win.
The Mountain Hawks kicked things off on Sunday with a singles dual against FDU, whom Lehigh saw in competition the weekend before. Lehigh once again was dominant in singles, defeating the Knights 7-1. Despite dropping their initial doubles match in the second dual against Lafayette, Anzilotti/Jaeger and Morash/Bezianis each earned doubles points to secure another dual meet win for the Mountain Hawks.
All systems were a go for the Mountain Hawks in their final singles dual of the weekend against Rider, as Lehigh swept the Broncs 8-0. Lehigh concluded its weekend of play in doubles against FDU, winning points from Kleiman/Blekhman and Horn-Bourque/Anzilotti while dropping two matches as well.
Lehigh will next head to the University of Pennsylvania for ITA Regionals on October 6-9.
