Women’s Soccer at Temple on Thursday; Hosting Penn on Sunday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh women's soccer team remains unbeaten heading into the third week of the season. The Mountain Hawks travel to Temple on Thursday for a 7 p.m. start, followed by a home matchup with Penn at 1 p.m. on Sunday
On Monday, first-year Aminah Baruwa was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week after scoring the tying goal in Lehigh's 2-2 draw at Cornell on Sunday. Junior forward Faith Dobosiewicz leads Lehigh with two goals, scoring in each game last week.
In the all-time series dating back to 1991, Lehigh leads Temple 8-4-2. The teams last played on September 5, 2019 when they tied 0-0 in Philadelphia. Fifth-year Ryelle Shuey was the only current player on the roster in the last matchup.
The Owls are 0-3-1, having not scored a goal yet this season. On Aug. 20, Temple fell 1-0 to Patriot League opponent Loyola (Md.), and lost 3-0 on Aug. 27 to Villanova. The Mountain Hawks tied Villanova 1-1 on Aug. 20. Temple finished 1-11-4 last season, earning a 5-0 win over LIU.
The Mountain Hawks trail 3-16-1 in the all-time series with Penn. The Quakers are 2-0, defeating both American and Delaware 1-0. Junior Isobel Glass and senior Lauren Teuschl have scored goals so far this season. In 2022, Penn finished 3-6-7 and did not qualify for the Ivy League Tournament.
