Pineda Tabbed As Patriot League Golfer of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh sophomore Madison Pineda has been named Patriot League Women's Golfer of the Week, the league announced Wednesday afternoon. Pineda led the way for the Mountain Hawks at Howard's Lady Bison Invitational with a seventh place finish.
This is the first career Golfer of the Week award for Pineda, who was a first-team All-Patriot League honoree and the league's Rookie of the Year for women's golf in 2022.
Pineda shot a 54-hole total of 227 this past Monday and Tuesday at Baltimore Country Club in Maryland. She carded eight birdies and an eagle over her 54 holes of play. Four of those birdies came in Tuesday's final round as Pineda shot her second consecutive 75, which marked the low round of the tournament for the Mountain Hawks.
Lehigh finished fifth out of nine teams in its final regular season tournament.
The Mountain Hawks will now shift focus to the Patriot League Championship, April 21-23 at Independence Golf Club in Midlothian, Va. Richmond is the host institution.
