Kramer named Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Hottinger also on Academic All-League Team

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh women's basketball's Mackenzie Kramer was named the Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year, while Frannie Hottinger was named to the Academic All-Patriot League team, the league announced Monday morning.
To be eligible for the Academic All-Patriot League Team and Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) and be a starter or key player. First-years are not eligible for this honor.
This is Kramer's second straight year being named the Scholar-Athlete of the Year. She is just the second player in program history to ever win the award two times. Anne Tierney was the first, and she did so in 2001 and 2002. This is the fifth time in program history that a Lehigh player has won the award.
Kramer has a 4.0 overall GPA in population health. She is second in the league in scoring (17.3 points per game), first in three pointers made per game (2.7) and first in three point percentage (43.5%).
Hottinger joins Kramer on the Academic All-League team. This is Hottinger's second year on the team as she made the squad in 2021. Hottinger was also named the Patriot League Player of the Year. She leads the league in scoring (20.4 points per game) and is fourth in rebounding (9.6). Hottinger has a 3.89 GPA in management consulting. Kramer and Hottinger were both named to the College Sports Communications Academic All-District team last year.
Kramer and Hottinger will take on Bucknell Monday night in the Patriot League Quarterfinals at Stabler Arena with game time set for at 6 p.m.
