The Mountain Hawks Host Bucknell in the Final Home Game of the Regular Season

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Mountain Hawks return to Stabler Arena for their final home game of the regular season to take on Bucknell, presented by JFR Salvage. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and Fox Sports Radio 94.7 FM and 1230 AM. Lehigh (15-12, 10-6 PL) enters the game coming off a 62-59 victory on the road at American for the season sweep of the Eagles. Four Mountain Hawks recorded double-digit performances in scoring and combined for 90 percent of the points produced in the win. Sophomore Keith Higgins Jr. contributed a team-high 18 points to go with three assists, two steals and one rebound. He shot 7-of-12 (58.3 percent) from the field and made three three-pointers while senior Evan Taylor scored 16 points with six rebounds and was 4-for-5 at the free-throw line. Sophomore Tyler Whitney-Sidney added 12 points, with six of them coming from the charity stripe. He also added seven boards and a team-high four assists. Finishing one rebound short of a double-double was junior Dominic Parolin, who tossed in 10 points and led the Mountain Hawks with nine boards and one assist.

Three Mountain Hawks are scoring at least 13 points per game, led by Higgins Jr. averaging 14.9 points per game and 1.8 assists per contest to go with a team-leading 59 three-pointers. Taylor recently reached 1,000 career points in January and is contributing 14.5 points with 6.5 rebounds per contest while Whitney-Sidney is scoring 13.2 points per outing, and a team-leading 36 steals and 2.3 assists per game, along with 4.8 rebounds.

Bucknell (11-18, 4-12 PL) is entering Wednesday's game off a road loss to Boston University on Saturday (77-61), which came after a blowout win over American (73-51) last Monday on CBS Sports Network. The Bison versus common non-league opponents are 1-1, as they fell to Marist in overtime (60-54 OT) and then defeated Saint Francis (Pa.) (89-65). Xander Rice leads the Bison in scoring with 14.2 points per game and is the team leader with 108 assists, 60 three-pointers and 29 steals. Alex Timmerman and Andre Screen both average 11.1 points with Timmerman leading the team with 6.9 boards a game while Screen has a team-high 36 blocks and 5.7 rebounds.

Bucknell leads the overall series with a record of 110-72-1 and 6-4 in the program's last 10 meetings. Lehigh has claimed both meetings last season, sweeping the Bison in the regular season for the first time since 2016-17 season. The Mountain Hawks have a three-game winning streak against Bucknell after claiming the first meeting in Sojka in January.
The Mountain Hawks will play their final game of the 2022-23 regular season when they travel to Boston University on Saturday, Feb. 28. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and Fox Sports Radio 94.7 FM and 1230 AM.

Lehigh has clinched a home Patriot League quarterfinal game after their win at American this past weekend. The Mountain Hawks are still waiting to find out their opponent, but the game will take place on Thursday, March 2 at 7 p.m. inside Stabler Arena. Tickets for the Patriot League quarterfinal will go on sale soon.
