Lehigh Announces 2022-23 Women's Basketball Schedule

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – With preseason practice beginning earlier this week, the Lehigh women's basketball program has announced its 2022-23 schedule. The Mountain Hawks are slated for 14 games at Stabler Arena, including five non-league contests. Lehigh will also head to the Midwest early in the season, as the six Mountain Hawks from Minnesota will enjoy another homecoming opportunity.
 
The 2022-23 campaign kicks off on Monday, Nov. 7 as Lehigh welcomes Division I newcomer Stonehill to Stabler Arena. From there Lehigh heads to the Midwest. The Mountain Hawks will visit South Dakota State in Brookings, S.D. on Nov. 11 and then will visit Minneapolis on Nov. 13 to battle the Golden Gophers from the University of Minnesota. It will be the third meeting between the two schools, with Lehigh previously visiting Minnesota in November 2017 and December 2019.
 
Upon returning from Minnesota, Lehigh will host Bloomsburg on Friday, Nov. 18 and will travel to Drexel on Tuesday, Nov. 22 before hosting the annual SureStay Best Western Christmas City Classic, Nov. 26-27. Lehigh will open the Christmas City Classic against Southern Illinois, with Kent State and Quinnipiac also participating in the tournament.
 
The Mountain Hawks will visit Rider (Nov. 30) and La Salle (Dec. 3) before breaking for final exams. Lehigh's final non-league home game will be against defending CAA champion Delaware on Sunday, Dec. 18. The Mountain Hawks' non-league finale will be at Yale on Dec. 21.
 
Patriot League play begins at home on Friday, Dec. 30 against Army West Point as Lehigh will play three of its first league games at Stabler Arena before the league moves to its traditional Wednesday-Saturday format.
 
The lone road game among the first four league games is a Jan. 2 tilt at Colgate. The Mountain Hawks will also host Bucknell (Jan. 5) and Navy (Jan. 8) during that stretch.
 
The Rivalry games against Lafayette are set for Jan. 21 in Easton and Feb. 4 at Stabler Arena.
 
Lehigh will face the defending Patriot League champion American Eagles in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 14 and will host the Eagles on Feb. 18.
 
Other Patriot League home dates feature Loyola (Jan. 18), Holy Cross (Jan. 25), Colgate (Feb. 8) and the regular season home finale against Boston University (Feb. 25).
 
The regular season concludes at Army West Point on Wednesday, Mar. 1. The Patriot League Tournament begins with the opening round on Mar. 4 and runs through the championship game on Mar. 12.
 
Lehigh returns 11 players from last year's team that went 19-11. Addie Micir takes the reins of a program that is less than two years removed from its fourth Patriot League title.
 
Ticket information for the 2022-23 Lehigh women's basketball season will be announced in the coming days. While all home games will be streamed live on ESPN+ (subscription required), television and radio information will be announced at a later date.
