BETHLHEM, Pa. – Lehigh head men's basketball coach Brett Reed announced the addition of Ben Knostman to the Mountain Hawks' incoming class on Thursday. Knostman is a 6-foot-5 guard out of Dayton, Ohio, who averaged 14.1 points, 9.1 assists, 9.1 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 2.2 blocks per game this past season.
Â
"We are pleased to have Ben join our program," said Reed. "He has a very unique combination of size, vision and feel for the game. He is a competitor that seems to impact winning as evident by the way he stuffs a stat sheet. He is also someone who is very easy to play with and brings out the best in his teammates by helping set them up for success."
Â
Along with his tremendous statistics, Knostman led Tippecanoe High School to an undefeated record in its league, and the team's first district championship in 12 years. Over his career, Knostman was a two-time MVL Player of the Year (and first team honoree). He was twice named first team All-District 9, and was the District 9 Player of the Year as a senior. Knostman was named the Southwest District's Player of the Year as a senior (and named to the first team). He was first team All-Ohio as a senior as well.
Â
Knostman will join Keith Higgins and Tyler Whitney-Sidney to make up the Mountain Hawks' incoming class of 2025.
