
Men's Tennis earns first win of spring break trip; Defeat Bentley University, 7-0

ORLANDO, Fla. – 24 hours after suffering a tough loss to JMU, 5-2, the Lehigh men's tennis team responded by picking up a solid victory over Bentley University, 7-0. This was the second match for the Mountain Hawks on their spring break trip.
Starting in doubles, the Mountain Hawks took the early advantage, picking up all three wins to secure the doubles point. At the No. 2 spot, Gary Fishkin and Jacob Edelchik paced the way with an easy victory, 6-1. Jeremy Learner and Steven Nazaroff won at the No. 3 spot, 6-3.
Going into the singles portion with the lead, Lehigh took it right to Bentley, as the Mountain Hawks took all six singles matches to record the win. Competing at the No. 1 spot for the first time this year, Harry Wang picked up the straight set victory over Connor Aulson, 6-4, 6-2, while freshman Matt Kleiman was victorious in the No. 5 spot, winning in straight sets as well, 6-1, 6-2.
Both Edelchik and Learner notched a gritty effort on Saturday, as both men won in three-sets. Edeclhik picked up the win, 6-3, 6-7, 10-7, while Learner regrouped after dropping the first set to win, 6-7, 6-3, 10-8.
Jack Martin-Dyer earned a win at the No. 3 spot, 6-1, 6-4.
In a schedule change, the Mountain Hawks will add another match to their schedule, as they will battle Carnegie Mellon on Wednesday, March 11 at a time to be determined.
Up next, the Brown and White (4-4) will search for their second straight win tomorrow against Case Western.
