
Lehigh claims ninth place finish at Boston College Intercollegiate

CANTON, Mass. – Four players shot 78 or better as the Lehigh women's golf team closed out the Boston College Intercollegiate with a strong round of 304 Tuesday at Blue Hill Country Club. The Mountain Hawks shaved nine strokes off of their second round score and finished with a total of 937 (320-313-304) to finish ninth in a 14-team field.
Freshman Addy Douglas came on strong with a final round 73 to move into top position among Lehigh players. Starting her day on hole 10, Douglas made four birdies in her first nine holes, shooting 32 in that span. She finished at one over par 73 and led Lehigh for the second straight tournament, claiming 38th place at 234 (78-83-73).
One stroke behind Douglas were senior Minuette Laessig and freshman Hannah Foster, who tied for 39th place at 235. Laessig made three birdies in a final round 75 to go 81-79-75, while Foster, Lehigh's low player through 36 holes, shot 78 to finish at 78-79-78.
Junior Angela Ding made one birdie in her final round 78 and tied for 46th place at 237 (83-76-78), while senior Rebecca Markunas also carded one birdie, shooting 81 Tuesday to tie for 56th place at 243 (83-79-81).
Cal State Fullerton claimed the team title at 894 (303-293-298), besting Seattle University by five strokes.
Linda Wang of St. John's was the individual medalist at three over par 219 (71-77-71). Wang beat Boston College's Bibilani Liu by one stroke.
