BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh swimming and diving head coach Rob Herb released the Mountain Hawks' 2019-20 schedule on Thursday for both the men's and women's teams. Lehigh will kick-off their season inside Jacobs Pool with the annual Brown and White meet on Sept. 19.
Speaking on how anxious he was for the team to get to back to Bethlehem, Herb stressed how exciting he was, "The coaches and I are thrilled to welcome our new first-year athletes and the entire team back for what I know will be the most amazing season."
Following the Brown and White Meet, Lehigh will welcome in Boston University on campus for an afternoon showdown on Oct. 12. Lehigh will then embark on a road trip in mid-October, traveling to West Chester on Oct. 18 and Rider on Oct. 19.
Right before U.S. Winter Nationals, the Mountain Hawks will host Patriot League foe Loyola on Oct. 26 and rival Lafayette on Nov. 22.
"We are excited to host rival Boston, Loyola and Lafayette in the first semester." stated Herb.
This year, U.S. Winter Nationals will be held from Dec. 3 to Dec. 7. This event will take place in Atlanta, Georgia, on the campus of Georgia Tech University. Right after the U.S. Winter Nationals, the Mountain Hawks will compete in the Winter ECAC Championships at Eisenhower Park.
After winter break, Lehigh will gear up for the Patriot League Championships with a road contest at Army on Jan. 10, followed by the regular season finale inside Jacobs Pool on Jan. 25 against the Bison of Bucknell.
Herb added, "We are expecting a great meet in Long Island at the Winter ECAC's. We will train very hard between ECAC's, Army and Bucknell, to get ready for the Patriot League Championships. We love to see that hard work pays off with advances by both teams and with a little extra push, have several members of the team qualify for the Olympic Trials in 2020."
Closing out the season, the Mountain Hawks will compete in the Patriot League Championships. This year's Patriot League Championship will be held on the campus of the Naval Academy and will start on Feb. 19 and conclude on Feb. 22.
