Mountain Hawks improve on Sunday, finish third at Navy

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Lehigh women's golf team shaved 16 strokes off its opening round score to shoot 307 Sunday in the final round of the Navy Spring Invitational at the Naval Academy Golf Club. One day after senior Reagan Jahn was the only Mountain Hawk to break 80, four Lehigh players broke 80 on Sunday.
 
Lehigh finished the tournament at 630 (323-307). Navy won the team title at 603 (303-300), while Boston University took second at 607 (307-300).
 
Jahn delivered the low round of the weekend for Lehigh, shooting three over par 75 to move into fifth place at 154 (79-75).
 
Behind Jahn, sophomore Angela Ding tied for eighth place at 158 (80-78). Senior Aileen Jeong and junior Minuette Laessig both shot 77 and tied for 12th place at 159 (82-77) after matching scores for the second straight day.
 
Junior Rebecca Markunas tied for 23rd place at 171 (86-85.
 
Competing as an individual, freshman Alexis Carras shot 176 (88-88) and finished in 26th place.
 
Boston University's Hanako Kawasaki broke 70 for the second straight day and won medalist honors at seven under par 137 (69-68). She beat Navy's Christine McDonnell by seven strokes.
 
Next up for the Mountain Hawks will be the Patriot League Championship, hosted by Richmond, April 20-21 in Richmond, Va.
