BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's tennis team began its final weekend of nonleague play by picking up a strong 5-2 win over Saint Joseph's on Friday at the Lewis Tennis Center. The Mountain Hawks lost No. 1 doubles, but came back to win Nos. 2 and 3. Two of the first three singles matches to finish were Saint Joseph's victories, but Lehigh came back to win Nos. 3, 5 and 6 singles to erase any doubt.

Lehigh came out strong in doubles, with sophomore Jacob Edelchik and freshman Gary Fishkin winning 6-4 at No. 2 before senior Bryant Born and freshman Andrew Nakhjavan won 7-6 (7-2) at No. 3 to give the Mountain Hawks the doubles point.

Lehigh would go on to fall at Nos. 1 and 2 singles, but junior Jack Martin-Dyer won at No. 3, 6-3, 7-5 to give the Mountain Hawks a 3-2 lead. Senior George Cooper and Edelchik rounded out the day with wins at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively, both hard-fought three-set matches. Fishkin had Lehigh's other win on the day at No. 4, 1-6, 6-1, 6-1.
