Steele Named Patriot League Rookie Of The Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Freshman Clair Steele of the Lehigh women's basketball team has been named Patriot League Rookie of The Week, the league office announced Monday.
Steele was electric on the court the past week, as she exploded for a then career-high 11 points against Lafayette in the 70-43 before following that up with 14 points against Navy in the 56-38 win. Her 14 points against the Midshipmen led both teams in scoring. She also ended the week 7-of-12 (.580) from the field and 7-of-8 (.880) from the charity stripe.
Steele joins fellow freshman Emma Grothaus as the only two Mountain Hawks to win Rookie of The Week so far this season.
Lehigh returns home to hosts the Crusaders of Holy Cross at Stabler Arena on January 9 at 6 p.m.
