
Lehigh Women’s Basketball Announces Incoming Class of 2022

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's basketball program and head coach Sue Troyan have announced four additions to the Class of 2022. The incoming student-athletes will come to Lehigh from California, Minnesota and New Jersey.
"We're very excited about our incoming class of freshmen, all four student-athletes will have an immediate impact in our program on and off of the court," said Troyan. "This is a group who upholds the values of Lehigh and our program as outstanding leaders, students who want to be challenged to be their personal best, and competitors who want to pushed to have a high level of success on the court."
Emma Grothaus – 6'3 - Forward – Mahtomedi, Minn. / Mahtomedi
ESPN Top 100 recruit…2018 McDonald's All-American Game nominee…2018 AAA all-state selection and 2017 AAA all-state honorable mention…2018 All-USA Minnesota Girl's Basketball First Team selection…2018 Metro East Conference Player of the Year…2018 First Team Star Tribune All-Metro…Three-time All-Metro East Conference selection…At the time of her graduation, held the Mahtomedi school records for career points (1,890), rebounds (1,061), and blocks (196)…Five year varsity starter and a two-year team captain…2018 academic all-state honoree…Played for the North Tartan EYBL AAU program.

2017-18 Preseason Star Tribune Dream Team, Miss Minnesota Basketball nominee, and selected to the Minnesota All-Star Series Game before missing most of her senior season due to injury…As a junior in 2016-17, earned all-state honorable mention and All-Lake Conference honors…Set Minnetonka's single season scoring record with 516 points as a junior in 2016-17…Helped lead the team to a 2017 sectional championship to qualify for the state tournament…Named the team's MVP and Defensive Player of the Year as a junior in 2017…Averaged 17.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.7 steals per game as a junior in 2016-17…As a sophomore in 2015-16, led the team to a state championship title while earning All-Lake Conference honorable mention honors…Two-year captain and 1,000-point scorer during her career…2017-18 academic all-state honoree…Made the A Honor Roll each semester…National Honor Society member…IB diploma candidate as a junior and senior…Held a weighted GPA of 4.32….Played for the North Tartan EYBL AAU program.
