PRINCETON, N.J. – The Lehigh men's and women's track and field teams concluded competition at the IC4A/ECAC Championships on Sunday afternoon. In what was the culmination of the season for most, Lehigh had three athletes earn All-East accolades during the two-day event, including sophomore Brooke Schaeffer, who broke the women's school record in the 800m run on Saturday. On the men's side, Victor Yegon (steeplechase) and Michael Gooding (triple jump) used very strong performances to earn their first career All-East nods.

On Saturday, Schaeffer earned her first All-East performance by taking fourth out of 37 with a school 800m record time of 2:08.44, breaking Jessica Kenzdor's record of 2:08.61 from 2012. Ashleigh Crawford raced in the steeplechase and led Lehigh in 16th place (10:49.87), followed by Stacie Nadel in 18th (10:51.88).

For the men, Yegon placed fifth overall out of 32 in 9:00.79, besting his personal record by nearly six seconds under his league championship time from last weekend. Senior Henry Paul (9:18.56) followed by placing 19th in the race, coming just three seconds shy of his PR. Over in the 5K, LU was led by Jeffrey Kirshenbaum (14:49.86) with a ninth place tally.

On Sunday, the men's 4x800 relay team of James Chappell, Clay Stabolepszy, Sean Brown and Kyle Kirk ran the fastest 4x8 time of the season for Lehigh, finishing ninth in 7:39.18.

Maura Henderson opened up Sunday for the women with the 10K, which was postponed from Saturday night. She finished ninth out of 17 overall in personal record fashion in 36:32.80. Noreen Byrne finished 16th of 35 in the 400m hurdles, crossing the line in 1:02.09.

In the field events, Gooding highlighted Sunday's action for Lehigh with an eighth place finish in the triple jump, earning him All-East recognition after leaping 14.30 meters. Brittany Curtin finished 10th in the discus (40.65m) and 12.50m in the shot put. Senior Amanda Youngblood followed Curtin in the discus at 39.46m.

Previously on Saturday, sophomore Hannah Patrick placed ninth out of 20 (42.16m) in the javelin, and Brianna Wanbaugh took 17th (38.16m). Kaitlyn Toman cleared 3.70m in the pole vault and Paige Grossman (48.64m) placed 14th in the hammer throw.

Kyle Sult placed 12th in the javelin (54.95m) and Ryan Givens represented Lehigh in the long jump in 19th place (6.69m).

Lehigh will now wait to see the final qualifying list for the First Round of the NCAA Championships. The top 48 seeds in the NCAA East Region will meet for the First Round May 24-26 in Tampa, Florida. As of Sunday afternoon, both Victor Yegon (42nd/steeplechase) and Hannah Patrick (39th/javelin) hold scores in the region's top 48, with Toman (49th/pole vault), Crawford (51st/steeplechase) and Sult (52nd/javelin) all in the hunt.
