Lehigh Wraps up Florida Trip with Meet at UCF

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Lehigh men's track and field team capped off its spring break trip to Florida on Friday and Saturday with several team members opening up the outdoor season at the Black and Gold Challenge at the University of Central Florida.
Sophomore Matt Kravitz competed on Friday's first day of action for Lehigh by placing 10th in the 800m invitational in 1:54.99. Sophomore Joey Kelly also competed on Friday and registered a 15th place finish in the pole vault (4.40m).
On Saturday, freshman Michael Mitchell led the way for Lehigh's three runners in the 3,000m, crossing the finish line in sixth place overall in 9:03.45. Nick Norton and Rafael Hernandez also competed with Norton (9:10.01) finishing seventh and Hernandez (9:34.64) 11th. Senior Michael Camera represented Lehigh in the 100m dash, placing 21st in 11.33 seconds.
In the field events, Trevor Knowles (39.35m) and Anastasios Mouzakis (38.94m) represented Lehigh in the discus. Senior Michael Gooding led the way in 15th place in the triple jump (13.58m), and competed in the long jump, where he leapt 5.57 meters.
Next up, several members of the Mountain Hawks will head back down south next weekend to compete at the Winthrop Invitational on Thursday-Saturday, while the rest of the team head to the Monmouth Season-Opener on Friday and Saturday.
