BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh women's basketball team will welcome first place American to Stabler Arena this Saturday afternoon in their final weekend home game of the season. The game will serve as the team's annual Play4Kay game with $1 being donated for every person in attendance to women's cancer foundations, courtesy of Dunne Manning. Lehigh will also host National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
 
Lehigh is unbeaten at home in Patriot League play (5-0) and 9-1 at Stabler Arena this season. The Mountain Hawks are coming off a 59-52 loss on Wednesday at Bucknell where they struggled out of the gate offensively, scoring a season-low five points in the first quarter. Lehigh shot 46.7 percent overall in the second half and got within two points in the fourth quarter. Camryn Buhr had 14 points and Bernadette Devaney finished with nine. Devaney enters Saturday averaging 12 ppg over the last two games.
 
American enters riding a 13-game winning streak that dates back prior to Christmas. They have also won eight consecutive games at Stabler Arena. The Eagles are coming off a 69-56 win over Loyola on Wednesday night. Emily Kinneston scored 17 points to finish in double figures for the ninth straight game.
 
ALL-TIME VS. AMERICAN
American leads the all-time series with the Mountain Hawks 29-13. The Eagles swept the series last year by scores of 70-58 at Stabler Arena and 68-51 in Washington, before winning the first matchup this season by 18.
 
In the first matchup this season in Washington, D.C., American hung 82 points on Lehigh, the second-most allowed by the Mountain Hawks this season. Three Eagles scored 20 points as the team shot 50 percent from the floor and 63.2 percent from three-point range. Camryn Buhr scored 20 points and 11 rebounds for Lehigh and was 8-for-13 shooting. Quinci Mann and Gena Grundhoffer added 11 points each.
 
Lehigh has lost eight in a row to American at Stabler Arena with its last win coming in the 2010 Patriot League Championship game. Overall, American has won 13 of the last 16 games since the 2010 Patriot League Championship, and nine of the last 10 dating back to 2014. Since the 2013-14 season, American has averaged 68.5 points in 10 games against Lehigh, to LU's 59.3 points per game.
 
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
The last unbeaten team remaining in Patriot League play, American sits three-games up on second place Bucknell entering the weekend. American picked up non-league wins over Tulsa, La Salle, and Penn State among others in non-league play, and has not lost since Dec. 17 at George Washington. In Patriot League play, the Eagles have won each of their games by an average of 13.2 points and have held their opponents to 55.4 points per game, third best in the league.
 
American is averaging a league-best 68.8 ppg in league play, two spots ahead of Lehigh. American ranks third by surrendering 55.4 points per game, one spot ahead of the Mountain Hawks. Their scoring margin of 13.2 is one of only two in the league in double digits. They lead the PL overall this season in field goal pct. (.414), free throw pct. (.759) and 3pt defense (.301).
 
Holding an 11-0 record at home this year, two of American's last four games have been won in overtime at Holy Cross and vs. Army. The Eagles also had to rally from behind in the second half to win at Lafayette on Jan. 20.
 
The Eagles leading scorer Emily Kinneston ranks fifth overall in the Patriot League with 14.7 points per game and is tied for third in league play with 15.3 ppg. Junior Cecily Carl ranks sixth in league play with 14.5 ppg and is fifth in rebounding (8.5). Kinneston leads the league with 4.1 assists per game this season and is third in league play at 4.3 apg. Kinneston (45.4) and Michael Harris (44.5) lead the team in field goal percentage and Elina Koskimies leads the team from beyond the arc at an even 44 percent.
