PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Lehigh men's track and field team wrapped up its competition on Friday afternoon at the 123rd annual Penn Relays at Franklin Field. Fresh off setting a new school record at last weekend's Virginia Challenge, senior Lucas Warning highlighted the meet for Lehigh with an eighth place finish in the Shot Put Championship of America with his throw of 18.08 meters.

Sophomore Ryan Givens also competed in the field events, placing 23rd in the high jump after leaping 1.96 meters.

Lehigh also had teams in a pair of relay events on Friday. The 4x100 meter relay team took home 34th place out of 71 runners as Christopher Del Rossi, Michael Camera, Jake Sabatini and Emre Soybas combined for a time of 42.39 seconds. Later on Friday afternoon, LU's 4x400m relay team also finished in the top half the field, finishing first in their heat and 35th overall (3:18.47) courtesy of Soybas, Del Rossi, James Clements and Joe Espinal.

Previously on Thursday evening, senior Ryan Cooney got the ball rolling for Lehigh at the meet by representing the Mountain Hawks in the 5,000m run, where he placed 64th in a crowded field in 14:52.93.

With the Penn Relays in the books for the Lehigh men, the team will turn its attention to hosting the Lehigh Games on Saturday at the Goodman Campus Track. The day will begin with the field events at 10 a.m., followed by the track events getting underway at 11 a.m.
