BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After kicking off the outdoor season last weekend in Florida, the Lehigh men's track and field team will head back down south once again this weekend to the Raleigh Relays, hosted by North Carolina State. Lehigh will also send a group of athletes to Easton, Pa. for the Lafayette 7-Way Invitational.

The Raleigh Relays will take place on Friday and Saturday with action from both days streaming live on ESPN3. Live results will also be available. The Relays will feature 100 schools from across the country, totaling over 2,200 athletes. Lehigh competed at the 2016 Raleigh Relays last year, where 55 marks made the top-50 on the TFRRS combined lists for the NCAA East Region.

Lehigh has nine runners set to compete in the 5K and the 10K on the men's side. Both events will take place on Friday.

The rest of the team will stay in the Lehigh Valley and head over to the Metzgar Fields Athletic Complex for the Lafayette 7-Way on Saturday. Last year at the 7-Way, Lehigh captured six individual wins and seven runner-up performances to win the meet, edging out second place East Stroudsburg by 22 points. Live results will also be available for the Lafayette 7-Way.

At last weekend's season-opening USF Bulls Invitational, freshman Matt Kravitz took home the 1500m title, with Ryan Cooney finishing third and Jeffrey Kirshenbaum placing fourth. Trevor Knowles and Fritz Isaac both placed in the top five of the 110m hurdles with new PRs, and freshman Joe Espinal finished just one hundredth of a second off the podium by finishing fourth overall in the 800m run.

Check back to Lehighsports.com for a complete recap following the completion of both meets.
