Thompson Wraps Up Winter Nationals with 1650 Free

RESULTS
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Patriot League Champion Meghan Thompson wrapped up her stay at the 2017 Winter National Championships with the 1650 freestyle on Saturday.
Thompson was entered in Heat 1 with a Lehigh school record mark of 16:32.57, which was her winning time last season at the Patriot League Championships. Saturday, the senior recorded a time of 17:03.72 to finish seventh in her heat and 15th overall.
Margaret Jahns of Louisville won Heat 1 with a time of 16:34.38 to place ninth overall. Former SEC Champion (1650 free) and NCAA All-American, Ashely Nedigh, posted a personal-best time of 15:38.35 to win Heat 2 and claim the top overall time.
Thompson and her fellow Mountain Hawks will return to competition January 9 with a Patriot League dual at Army West Point.
