Lehigh Set for Two Meets this Friday and Saturday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After a one-weekend layoff, the Lehigh men's cross country team will compete for the final time ahead of this year's Patriot League Championships. The team will split to compete at the Penn State National Open on Friday morning and the Princeton Invitational on Saturday.
Penn State National Open – Friday, Oct. 13 at 11:30 a.m. – 5.2 miles
Lehigh is slated to send nine runners to State College on Friday, where they will compete against runners from 18 different schools, including nationally ranked Oklahoma State. The Mountain Hawks, who are ranked 12th in the latest USTFCCCA NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional rankings, will be joined by several fellow regionally ranked foes Princeton (4), Penn State (5), Bucknell (6), Villanova (7) and Duquesne (10). Live results will be posted on Runhigh.com following the meet.
Scheduled Teams: Akron, Bucknell, Buffalo, Cornell, Duquesne, George Washington, James Madison, Kent State, Loyola (Md.), North Carolina, No. 9 Oklahoma State, Penn State, Pitt-Johnstown, Princeton, Sacred Heart, UC Davis, Villanova, and William and Mary.
Princeton Invitational – Saturday, Oct. 14 at 9:30 a.m. – 8K

The remainder of the Lehigh squad will travel to Princeton on Saturday morning for the Princeton Invitational at the West Windsor Fields. Lehigh is scheduled as one of 20 men's teams to race, a list that includes nationally ranked Columbia, and three teams (American, Penn, Princeton) that appear alongside the Mountain Hawks in the Mid-Atlantic rankings.
Scheduled Teams: American, No. 30 Columbia, George Mason, George Washington, Guelph, Harvard, Hofstra, La Salle, Lipscomb, Marist, McNeese State, Monmouth, Penn, Rider, St. Joseph's, Stony Brook, Temple, UMBC and Laval.
Last time out, Lehigh turned in a 20th place team finish at the Paul Short Run on Sept. 29. The Brown and White were paced by senior Patrick Reilly, who placed 18th/359 overall in 23:57.0, setting a new school record for the fastest time by a Lehigh runner on the 8K Goodman Campus Course. Teammate Jeffrey Kirshenbaum finished in 24:31.8, which was good enough for sixth all-time on the school's course list. Senior John Tolbert set a new PR of 25:13.6 in just his second race of the season, and Ryan Grace, Matt Kravitz and Victor Yegon have all finished in Lehigh's top seven at each meet this season.
