Lehigh Places Eighth At Patriot League Championship

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh hosted the Patriot League Championship at the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course on Friday afternoon. The Mountain Hawks scored 191 points as a team, placing them eighth. The Navy Midshipmen took home the team title, as individual champion Justin Memford led their 28-point team performance.
Sophomore Will Mrozinski was the lead Mountain Hawk on the day. His time of 25:45.4 placed him in 34th overall. Junior Ryan Baker and senior Adam Barbato finished not far behind. Baker ran 25:50.9 (39th), and Barbato 25:52.8 (41st).
Seniors Connor Malinger and Dan Malatesta were the next two Lehigh scorers. Mallinger crossed the line in 26:02.7 to claim 50th, and Malatesta came in 53rd with a time of 26:08.3. Sophomore Charlie Butler ran 26:41.1. He was the sixth Lehigh finisher, and he came in 73rd. Fellow sophomore Ben Connell finished not far behind in 78th place. He ran 26:51.2 to round out the Lehigh scorers.
Lehigh's next race will come at home on November 14 when the Mountain Hawks will host the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course.
