BETHLEHEM, Pa. – First-year Jason Baker has been named the Patriot League Men's Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league Tuesday afternoon.
Baker earned his first collegiate individual title in his second collegiate race Friday in Lehigh's dual against Lafayette. He completed the 8K course in 25:04.2, leading the Mountain Hawks to a perfect score of 15 en route to their 27th straight victory against Lafayette.
This is Baker's second time earning Patriot League Men's Rookie of the Week honors, as he was also honored following his first collegiate race at the Lehigh Invitational, where he finished fourth overall and first among first-years.Â
Baker will look to continue his strong start on Friday at the 52nd annual Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh. The men will compete in the gold race at 11 a.m.
