BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Following a 25-point effort in the season opener at No. 7/8 Xavier, Lehigh men's basketball senior Tim Kempton has been named the Patriot League Player of the Week, as announced on Monday. The award marks the fourth Player of the Week honor of Kempton's career.

The two-time Patriot League Player of the Year scored his 25 points on 9-of-16 shooting and 7-of-9 from the free throw line, while adding seven rebounds, a block and steal. Kempton scored 12 first-half points and 13 in the second half, five of which came in the last 40 seconds of regulation, which helped set the Mountain Hawks up with the ball and a chance to tie the score in the final possession of regulation. Friday marked Kempton's 21st career game with 20 or more points, and 80th with double-figure points.

Also recognized on Monday was freshman Jordan Cohen, who garnered honorable mention laurels. Cohen knocked down his first three career three-pointers, finishing his collegiate debut with nine points in 11 minutes off the bench.

The Mountain Hawks return to action on Thursday when they head to Yale to face the Bulldogs. Opening tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
