
Lehigh heads to Florida for five matches over spring break

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's tennis team will spend spring break in Florida with five matches spread over three days, beginning Monday. The Mountain Hawks will set up camp in Orlando and will travel to DeLand to face Stetson on Monday. Lehigh will play Creighton and St. Cloud State in Orlando on Tuesday and Valparaiso and Quinnipiac on Wednesday.
The Mountain Hawks went 6-2 on their eight match season-opening home stand, capped by victories over Fairleigh Dickinson (5-2) and Connecticut (6-1) last weekend. The Florida trip will afford the Mountain Hawks a chance to play outdoors for the first time this season.
Junior Jeremy Kochman has started strong this season, with a 7-0 singles record seeing time at second, third and fourth singles. Sophomore Ethan Bogard is right behind with a 6-1 singles mark.
Four Lehigh players own 5-2 doubles records, as Kochman plays alongside senior Ben Gilman and Bogard has been teaming with senior Mitchell Petersen.
Monday's Lehigh-Stetson match will begin at 2 p.m. On Tuesday Lehigh will face Creighton at 11:30 a.m. and St. Cloud State at 7 p.m. The trip concludes with matches against Valparaiso at 8 a.m. and Quinnipiac at 4:30 p.m.
Following its spring break trip, Lehigh will return home to host Villanova on March 18 and Delaware on March 21.
