Mountain Hawks bounce back with strong second round at Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Lehigh women's golf team overcame a tough morning round with a solid bounce back round on day one of the Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate Monday on the Plantation Course at the Kingsmill Resort. The Mountain Hawks shot 337 in the morning but rallied with a 319 in the afternoon to sit in 11th place in the 16 team field at 656.

Senior Kelly Moylan leads Lehigh after 36 holes with back to back rounds of 79 to tie for 27th place at 158. Lehigh's lowest round of the day came from senior Alyssa Scheyd who carded a 77 in the afternoon after opening with an 87 to tie for 43rd place at 164.

Junior Nicole Feierberg and senior Melanie Dickens are tied for 53rd place at 168. Feierberg shot 87-81 on Monday while Dickens shot 86-82.

Lehigh's fifth scoring player was sophomore Elizabeth McGarrigle, who shot 170 (85-85) and is tied for 62nd place.

Freshman Casey Farmer is competing as an individual and is tied for 58th place at 169 (85-84).

Alessandra Liu of William & Mary holds the 36 hole lead at one under par 143 (72-71). Liu leads Amanda Terzian of Delaware by four strokes.

Delaware leads the team race at 608 (302-306), six shots better than the host Tribe.
