BETHLEHEM, Pa.—The Lehigh men's tennis team will look to build on last weekend's split results when the Mountain Hawks face Drexel this Saturday at 2 p.m. and Saint Francis (Pa.) Sunday at 10 a.m. at the Lewis Tennis Center.

The Mountain Hawks began their season on Jan. 31 with a 4-3 win against Niagara. The following day, Lehigh dropped its first match of the season 5-2, after a come from behind effort by Monmouth.  Lehigh led the match after their strong doubles play, but dropped five of six singles matches against Monmouth for the defeat. With the win, Monmouth improved to 2-1.

The 1-1 Mountain Hawks have been led by junior Jeremy Kochman, who has posted a 2-0 singles record so far. Lehigh will look to its returning All-Patriot League performers and senior captains Ben Gilman and Mitchell Petersen to lead the way. Both players split singles matches last weekend. Sophomore Ethan Bogard delivered the clinching point in singles versus Niagara.

Drexel will be looking to build on their three match winning streak when the Dragons face-off against the Mountain Hawks. The Dragons have been strong this year, with a 4-1 spring record, including a 3-0 mark inside the Drexel Armory.

Saint Francis (Pa.) is 2-2 on the season, following up season-opening losses to Navy and IPFW with wins over Chicago State and St. Bonaventure. The Red Flash will play at Youngstown State Friday night before visiting Lehigh.

Last year, Lehigh found great success at home, going 10-5 on the season to cap off the 2014 campaign with an overall record of 12-8. The Mountain Hawks defeated Drexel 4-3 last season and won 7-0 over Saint Francis (Pa.).

Last weekend, the Mountain Hawks began a one-month stretch of home matches at Lewis Tennis Center, which will conclude on March 1 against Connecticut. Lehigh will host Stony Brook and Richmond next weekend in matches five and six of the home stand.
