BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Coming off its second-ever Patriot League Championship, the Lehigh men's soccer team will make its fourth NCAA Tournament appearance when it faces Hofstra Thursday at 7 p.m. Audio and video coverage will be available at gohofstra.com. The winner of the first round game will travel to No. 3 national seed Georgetown Sunday at 1 p.m.

Lehigh capped off a memorable Patriot League Tournament by defeating American 2-1 in Sunday's championship match in Hamilton, N.Y. The Mountain Hawks previously took down top-seeded Colgate in the semifinals and Bucknell in the quarterfinals with a pair of 2-0 shutouts. The Mountain Hawks carry a 13-5-3 overall record into the NCAA Tournament and are in the midst of a nine-match unbeaten streak. Including this season, Lehigh has secured 13 or more wins four times in program history. In the final regular season NSCAA regional rankings, Lehigh sits atop the Northeast regional rankings and is receiving votes in the national poll.

The Mountain Hawks are 0-2-2 all-time in the NCAA Tournament. Lehigh moved onto the Round of 16 in the tournament in 2006 when the Mountain Hawks played Rhode Island to a 1-1 draw before advancing on penalty kicks (5-4).

Senior Jamie Luchini leads the team with 29 points behind ten goals and nine assists, while freshman Mark Forrest follows with 24 points (ten goals, four assists). Sophomore keeper Joe Bogan is 12-2-3 in goal this season with nine shutouts, a .842 save percentage and 0.85 goals against average.

Hofstra (13-7 overall, 8-1 at home) is making its fifth-ever NCAA Tournament appearance and first since 2006. The Pride won its fourth CAA title in program history with a 2-0 win over Delaware in the championship game Sunday. The Pride has won two games in the NCAA tournament, posting a victory in 2004 and 2006. Hofstra is 2-4 all-time in NCAA Tournament play.

Junior midfielder Joseph Holland earned the CAA Championship Most Outstanding Player honors by scoring a goal in each game, contributing to 2-0 victories over JMU and the Blue Hens. Patric Pray shut out two teams to earn an all-tournament team selection, as did defenders Marius Flateboe and Harri Hawkins.

Holland, the CAA Player of the Year, will carry a league-leading 25 points into his first-ever NCAA Tournament game. Pray has eight shutouts this season and 19 in his three-year Hofstra career. The Pride has not allowed goal after the regular season's conclusion as a starting back line of Rory Murphy, Harri Hawkins, Sean Nealis and Marius Flateboe have provided strong defense.

The winner of Thursday's game will advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament at No. 3 Georgetown. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
